About the Role
Prestige People is working with a highly discreet Ultra-High-Net-Worth family based in Somerset, just outside Chard, who are seeking an experienced and adaptable Live-In Housekeeper / Cook to join their private residence.
This is a long-term role within a well-run household, suited to a professional who is confident managing a substantial private home while maintaining absolute discretion and flexibility.
The property comprises approximately six bedrooms, and the successful candidate will take full responsibility for housekeeping standards while also providing fresh, simple meals when required.
The family values professionalism, loyalty, and a calm, capable presence within the home.
Key Responsibilities

Full housekeeping of a large private residence

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care

General household organisation

Preparing fresh, home-style meals for the family when in residence

Managing groceries, household supplies, and pantry organisation

Coordinating with external contractors where necessary

Ensuring the property remains well-maintained during periods of absence

Assisting with light local errands if required

Occasional care of the family dog

Extensive experience within private or UHNW households

Confident combining housekeeping with cooking duties

Highly organised, proactive, and flexible

Discreet and accustomed to confidential environments

UK driving licence essential
