About the Role
Prestige People is recruiting on behalf of a VIP private household in Manchester seeking one or two excellent domestic professionals to join their home on a long-term basis.
This is an unusually flexible search. The family would be delighted to consider an experienced male or female Housekeeper/Domestic Assistant, two female candidates wishing to work together, or an established Domestic Couple.
The household consists of three adults, one child and a small dog, and operates in a relaxed rather than highly formal manner.
The family is looking for trustworthy, hardworking and personable individuals who will take genuine pride in maintaining the home, work well as part of the wider household and provide reliable day-to-day support.
The Role
Responsibilities will include:
- General housekeeping and cleaning to a high standard
- Laundry, ironing and household organisation
- Maintaining bedrooms, bathrooms and living areas
- Keeping the residence tidy and beautifully presented
- Assisting with household supplies and general domestic tasks
- Supporting the family with day-to-day household needs
- Working collaboratively with other household staff
- Occasional assistance with the family’s small dog
This isn’t an overly formal household, but excellent standards, discretion and reliability are important.
Who We’re Looking For
The family is open to:
- One experienced male or female Housekeeper / Domestic Assistant
- Two female candidates happy to work together and share staff accommodation
- An experienced Domestic Couple looking for their next long-term position
Previous private household experience is highly desirable, although strong candidates from quality hotel or hospitality environments may also be considered.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who are:
- Hardworking and dependable
- Discreet and trustworthy
- Naturally organised
- Flexible and willing to help
- Comfortable working as part of a household team
- Looking for a stable, long-term position
A driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
