Position: Governor / Governess / Home Educator
Location: Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Contract: Full-time, 2-year renewable contract
Salary: Negotiable – From €4,500 per month (or equivalent) plus full board, luxury accommodation, visa sponsorship, and benefits
Role Overview
A high-profile family based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and dynamic Governor / Governess / Home Educator to support the education and personal development of their 7-year-old son, currently in Grade 3 at an international school. The successful candidate will combine strong academic guidance with mentorship, structure, and enrichment activities, ensuring the child’s educational and emotional growth within a supportive and stimulating environment. This is a full-time, live-in role within a fully staffed VIP household, requiring discretion, professionalism, and adaptability.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide academic support aligned with international school standards
- Plan engaging lessons and enrichment activities
- Assist with homework, reading, and creative projects
- Participate in sports, swimming, and other physical activities
- Encourage good manners, discipline, and confidence
- Coordinate with parents, tutors, and household staff
- Accompany the family during travel when required
- Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times
Candidate Requirements
- University degree in pedagogy, education, or child development
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience teaching or tutoring children aged 6–9
- Fluent English (essential); fluent Russian (advantageous)
- Prior experience in VIP or UHNW households preferred
- Physically active, energetic, and confident participating in sports and outdoor activities
- Excellent organisation and communication skills
- Valid passport enabling travel to EU, USA, and Commonwealth countries
- Driver’s licence preferred
- Willing to sign a Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement
- Comfortable working under CCTV (standard for private residences)
