About the Role
A unique opportunity has arisen for an exceptional Live-In Housekeeper/Cook to join a welcoming family at their stunning 8-bedroom stately home near Crewkerne, Somerset. This position is ideal for a highly experienced, discreet professional who thrives in a historic yet informal household setting. The role requires a candidate who can maintain exacting standards while appreciating the charm of a grand, heritage property.
Key Responsibilities

Complete housekeeping of an 8-bedroom stately home, including daily and deep cleaning

Specialist care of antiques, fine furnishings, and heritage interiors

Laundry, wardrobe care, and general household organisation

Cooking fresh, simple meals for 2-4 people when the family is in residence

Managing household provisions, grocery shopping, and pantry stocking

Coordinating with external contractors for maintenance and repairs

Ensuring the property remains immaculate during family absences (3-5 months per year)

Assisting with light household tasks and occasional local driving
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 10 years’ experience in UHNW or private households

Confidence in both housekeeping and home cooking

Experience working in large, formal homes with heritage interiors

Professional, discreet, and highly organised

UK driving licence (essential)

Excellent references and proven longevity in previous roles
