About the Role

Prestige People is delighted to present an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly organised Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming family based in Wimbledon Common.

This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working within a relaxed family environment while maintaining high standards throughout a substantial private residence. The successful candidate will become an important part of the household, working collaboratively alongside the family’s existing Nanny and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the home.

The family is open to offering either a permanent position from the outset or commencing with a three-month trial period for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping

Full housekeeping of a 5-bedroom family home
Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
General household organisation and decluttering
Daily upkeep of living spaces, home office, and gym
Ensuring the home remains well-organised and functional

Laundry & Household Organisation

Managing family laundry and ironing
Wardrobe organisation and clothing care
Maintaining household storage systems and organisation

Household Support

Coordinating household repairs and maintenance appointments
Assisting with general household administration
Liaising with contractors and service providers when required

Food Preparation

Occasional light meal preparation
Assisting with simple family meals when required
Supporting the smooth running of the household kitchen

Childcare Support

Occasional assistance with two school-aged children (aged 6 and 8)
Providing support to the family’s Nanny when required
Childcare is secondary to the housekeeping responsibilities

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience as a Housekeeper within a private household
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent laundry and wardrobe care experience
Professional, reliable, and discreet
Child-friendly and comfortable working in a family environment
Able to work independently and take initiative
Warm, approachable, and easy-going personality
Excellent references from previous employers
