About the Role
Prestige People is delighted to be recruiting an exceptional Private Chef for a private household in Nad Al Sheba, Dubai.
This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished chef who wants to take genuine ownership of the culinary experience within a premium private household.
Cooking for two principals, you will have the freedom to create varied, beautifully prepared menus spanning Mediterranean, European, Asian and international cuisines, adapting dishes around the principals’ preferences and lifestyle.
The family is looking for considerably more than someone who simply arrives and cooks. They want a chef who can independently manage the entire kitchen operation – from menu creation and sourcing exceptional ingredients through to grocery shopping, organisation and ensuring the kitchen is always impeccably maintained.
The Role
You will take responsibility for all culinary requirements within the household, including:
- Creating varied, bespoke weekly menus
- Preparing high-quality daily meals for two principals
- Mediterranean, European, Asian and international cuisine
- Sourcing and selecting premium ingredients
- Grocery shopping and supplier management
- Managing kitchen stocks, pantry and household food supplies
- Accommodating dietary requirements and changing preferences
- Preparing for occasional guests and entertaining
- Maintaining exceptional kitchen hygiene and organisation
- Managing food storage, rotation and waste
- Keeping abreast of new dishes, ingredients and culinary trends
- Taking complete ownership of the household’s day-to-day culinary requirements
The successful chef should be confident creating food that is fresh, beautifully presented and varied, rather than relying on a narrow repertoire.
About You
We’re looking for a polished, creative and highly capable chef with previous experience in premium private households, luxury hospitality or an equally high-standard culinary environment.
You should offer:
- An excellent repertoire across multiple international cuisines
- Particular strength in Mediterranean and European cooking
- Confidence preparing Asian and other international dishes
- Strong menu-planning skills
- Excellent knowledge of premium ingredients and sourcing
- Impeccable kitchen organisation and hygiene
- The ability to work autonomously and anticipate requirements
- A discreet, professional and flexible approach
- Previous private household experience highly desirable
- Excellent references
- A valid driving licence – essential
There are four dogs within the household, so you must also be completely comfortable working around dogs and genuinely dog-friendly.
