About the Roles
A high-profile private family with a beautifully maintained 12-bedroom estate in Newbury, Berkshire, is seeking two exceptional housekeepers — one Senior Housekeeper for full-time weekday coverage and one Weekend Housekeeper to complete the 7-day rota.
The household is refined yet welcoming, home to two children and two adults, with a well-trained spaniel and a dedicated estate team. The successful candidates will deliver impeccable housekeeping, wardrobe care, and household organisation to the highest standard.
Senior Housekeeper – Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of household housekeeping

High-standard cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe management for fine fabrics

Organise household inventory and coordinate with other staff

Assist with family meals and occasional entertaining

Formal service, greeting guests, and silver care

Liaising with contractors and household suppliers

Pet care assistance (spaniel)
Senior Housekeeper Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience in a high-net-worth household

Confident managing staff and upholding luxury standards

Discreet, proactive, and exceptionally organised

Skilled in care for antiques, silver, and fine furnishings
Weekend Housekeeper – Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of occupied areas during weekends

Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe refresh

Assist with breakfast or light meal prep if needed

Support in readiness for guests/events

Coordinate with weekday team for smooth handover
Weekend Housekeeper Requirements:

Proven housekeeping experience in a private home

Available Saturdays and Sundays (some flexibility)
