About the Role
We are seeking a temporary nanny for a warm and welcoming family in Southfields, London, for the months of July and August. This nanny job in London is ideal for someone energetic, nurturing, and experienced with toddlers. The primary responsibility is to care for a bright and confident 2.5-year-old girl, with occasional assistance required for her baby brother (6 months old).
The ideal candidate will be playful, proactive, and passionate about childcare, offering creative and stimulating activities, much like a nursery environment. Speaking Spanish would be a bonus, although not essential.
This is a fantastic summer nanny job in Southfields for someone looking to engage with a lovely family and provide high-quality care during the nursery transition period.
Key Responsibilities
- Full care for a 2.5-year-old girl, including planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities

Occasional support for a 6-month-old baby boy, especially during weaning

Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the children

Managing naptime routines and maintaining consistency

Attending local playgroups, classes, and arranging playdates to support social development

Maintaining tidiness in play areas and children’s belongings

Supporting holistic learning through structured daily activities

Accompanying on short trips and outings locally – little girl loves the park!
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience caring for toddlers and babies in a private nanny setting

Energetic, enthusiastic, and nurturing personality

Flexible and confident working with both children in a shared space with parents

Comfortable with pets (family owns a friendly Cockapoo)

Bonus: Spanish-speaking (desirable, not essential)

About the Family & Children
The family includes mum (currently on maternity leave), a 6-month-old baby boy, and a sociable 2.5-year-old girl. The baby is calm and has a good routine, while the little girl is active and confident, used to nursery routines and social interactions. Mum and baby will mostly be at home during the nanny’s working hours, but the primary focus will be on the older child.
The home is near Southfields, with easy access to transport links (10 minutes from Southfields tube, 15 minutes from Earlsfield station). The family has a regular cleaner and a daily dog walker, so pet care is not required.
