About the Role
Prestige People is delighted to represent a private household in Dubai seeking an exceptional Executive Housekeeper / Household Manager for a long-term position.
This is an opportunity for an experienced private-household professional who wants genuine responsibility and autonomy rather than a conventional cleaning role.
The principals are looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running, presentation and organisation of their residence, creating a home that operates calmly and efficiently without requiring constant direction.
The household consists of two adults and one much-loved dog. The private apartment is approximately 230 sqm, with a separate private office within the same building requiring weekly attention.
Following a comprehensive handover with the existing Housekeeper, the successful candidate will be trusted to independently manage their responsibilities and, importantly, anticipate issues before they reach the principals.
For someone who naturally notices when supplies are running low, remembers what needs servicing, keeps wardrobes impeccably organised, plans ahead for travel and guests, and takes genuine pride in creating a beautifully maintained home, this could be an excellent long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Housekeeping
- Taking complete responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the residence
- Maintaining consistently exceptional housekeeping standards throughout
- Professional cleaning and care of high-quality furnishings, finishes and household items
- Managing laundry, ironing and garment care
- Maintaining beautifully organised wardrobes and storage areas
- Packing and preparing suitcases for travel
- Preparing the residence ahead of guests
- Maintaining fresh flowers and their presentation throughout the home
- Cleaning the principals’ private office approximately once per week
Household Management
- Managing household supplies and ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained
- Keeping accurate household inventories
- Managing grocery shopping both in-store and through local delivery applications
- Coordinating deliveries, collections and returns
- Managing dry cleaning
- Scheduling household maintenance and servicing
- Liaising with contractors and external service providers when required
- Coordinating specialist cleaning services for areas such as balconies
- Identifying maintenance or household issues proactively and resolving them wherever possible
- Ensuring the principals do not need to oversee routine household matters themselves
Cooking
Daily cooking forms an important part of this position.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing healthy meals on a daily basis
- Following recipes and structured meal plans confidently
- Grocery planning and purchasing
- Monitoring kitchen and pantry stock
- Maintaining excellent kitchen organisation and hygiene
A professional chef qualification is not required, but candidates must be genuinely confident preparing good-quality, healthy everyday meals.
Pet Care
The household includes a dog, so candidates must be comfortable around pets.
Responsibilities will include:
- Dog walking
- Feeding
- Maintaining the dog’s supplies and belongings
- Assisting with general day-to-day pet requirements
Working Schedule
The normal working schedule will be:
Monday–Saturday
6:30am–2:00pm
The working day may finish once the necessary responsibilities have been completed to the required standard.
Sunday is the regular day off.
The successful candidate must be comfortable with an early start and exceptionally reliable and punctual.
Candidate Requirements
This role requires a genuinely experienced private-household professional.
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Significant previous experience within a high-standard private household, UHNW residence, luxury residence or comparable environment
- Evidence of independently managing household responsibilities rather than working solely under daily supervision
- Excellent professional housekeeping standards
- Exceptional laundry, ironing and garment-care skills
- Strong knowledge of luxury fabrics, furnishings and specialist surfaces
- Good cooking ability
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Fluent spoken English
- Confidence using technology and household applications
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Absolute discretion and trustworthiness
- Exceptional reliability and punctuality
- Confidence working independently
- Comfort around dogs
- Excellent and verifiable professional references
Previous long-term private household employment is highly desirable.
Experience within Dubai, the UAE or wider GCC region would be advantageous, as would previous experience working for international principals.
A UAE driving licence would also be beneficial but is not stated as essential.
The Person
The principals are specifically looking for someone who understands that exceptional private service goes beyond completing a checklist.
You should naturally take ownership.
Rather than waiting to be told that something needs replacing, repairing, organising or arranging, you will ideally have noticed it already and begun finding the solution.
The successful candidate will be calm, polished and discreet, with the judgement to know when to act independently and when something should be escalated.
Longevity is important. The family is looking for someone who wants to establish themselves within the household and become a trusted professional over the long term.
